1.
FEEDSTOCK

​​As a raw material for the production of sunflower oil, we use sunflower seeds of the Yenisei variety obtained as a result of crossing the varieties "VNIIMK 883" and "VNIIMK 8932" at the All-Russian Research Institute of Oilseeds named after V.S. Pustovoit. This sunflower variety is characterized by rapid precocity (85-90 days), resistance to shedding and lodging, as well as high adaptability to the climate of the northern regions. More than half of the raw materials used for the production of oil are sunflower seeds of own production. The rest of the raw materials we buy only from our trusted manufacturers, mainly from the agro-climatic regions of the Rubtsovo-Aleyskaya steppe

​​SEED STORAGE

​The determining factor for obtaining high-quality sunflower oil is the proper storage of seeds.
Cleaning of seeds from impurities.
Seeds entering storage and processing are a heterogeneous mixture of seeds and various impurities (stems, leaves, earth, sand, etc.) Seeds are cleaned using various cleaning machines — separators, aspirators, stone collectors. Conditioning of seeds by humidity.
To reduce the moisture content of seeds, the drying method is used in industrial dryers of various types, as well as the method of active ventilation in special storages

​PREPARATION

​​Destruction of sunflower seeds.
The task of collapse is the destruction of the shells of oilseeds by mechanical action. As a result of the destruction of sunflower seeds, a rushanka is obtained - a mixture of several fractions (whole seeds, partially unpeeled seeds, destroyed kernels, seed coat (husk and oilseed dust).

Separating the shells from the cores is of great importance. The rushanka is divided into a core and a husk, while in the future it increases the quality of the oil, since the lipids of the shells containing a large number of related substances do not pass into it, and the productivity of the equipment increases.

The purpose of this operation is to destroy the cellular structure of the nucleus for maximum oil extraction during further technological operations.

OIL SQUEEZE

​​​As a result of pressing, 60-85% of the oil is extracted, i.e. the oil is pre-extracted - pre-pressing. As a result of pre-pressing of the pulp, pre-pressing oil (often called pressing oil) and pre-pressing cake are obtained. The oil content in the cake is 14-20%, and then it is sent for subsequent, final pressing by extraction.

Extraction provides the deepest extraction of oil while maintaining its quality. The process is based on the ability of vegetable oils to dissolve in organic solvents. As a result of extraction, two types of raw materials are obtained: extraction miscella and meal

OIL FILTRATION

​​​​After extraction, the miscella contains up to 1% impurities, and it is sent for filtration. The presence of solid impurities significantly complicates the process of distilling the solvent from the miscella and reduces the quality of the finished oil. The purified miscella should contain no more than 0.02% of the sludge. Sunflower oil refining consists of several technological stages:- Extraction of various mechanical impurities from raw materials through settling, filtration and centrifugation procedures. Removal of phosphatides from raw materials by means of exposure to heated oil with alkali in order to remove free fatty acids from its composition that provoke oxidation and smoke formation during frying oil.

DEODORIZATION
AND
FREEZING

​The deodorization process is based on the difference in the evaporation temperature of aromatic substances and the oils themselves. Refined deodorized vegetable oil contains less nutrients than unrefined. But, despite this, there are obvious advantages in this type of oil: it is great for cooking dishes with heat treatment.And also a huge advantage of refined oil is a long shelf life.Freezing is the process of removing waxy substances that pass into oil from the seed and fruit shells of oilseed plants. The process consists in cooling the oil to a temperature of 10-12 ° C and then holding at this temperature, with slow stirring to form wax crystals. Then the oil is heated to 18-20 ° C, to reduce the viscosity and filtered. After that, the oil does not become cloudy when cooled even to 5"C
